NMS Labs Cited in Washington Post "Slate" Article
01/17/2008
Juliet Lapidos of "Slate" discusses why toxicology reports take so long and how NMS Labs and other independent labs can help. Juliet talks about backlogs, staff shortages and the juggling of responsibilities between lab, testifying and testing for live patients in her article. She goes on to talk about how "Occasionally, state-owned toxicology labs outsource tests to private companies, which are far better staffed and have a quicker turnaround. NMS Labs in Willow Grove, Pa., for example, employs about 200 scientists for 40,000 cases and averages seven to 11 days for a toxicology report." http://www.slate.com/id/2182156/
