Director of Toxicological Services

Dr. Barry K. Logan, one of the world’s foremost authorities on alcohol and drug impaired driving has joined NMS Labs as its Director of Toxicological Services.  Dr. Logan is Board Certified by the American Board of Forensic Toxicology (ABFT), and has over 80 publications in the peer-reviewed literature including treatises on the effects of methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, alcohol, hallucinogens and depressant drugs on drivers as well as various other aspects of forensic toxicology.  Dr. Logan has testified in civil and criminal cases on behalf of prosecutors and defense attorneys, plaintiffs and defendants in over 200 trials in seven states and in federal court.  Most recently, Dr. Logan served as the Director, Forensic Laboratory Services Bureau and State Toxicologist for the State of Washington.  Since 2001, Dr Logan has served as Executive Director of Indiana University's Center for Studies of Law in Action, where he has hosted experts in alcohol and drug impairment from around the world as members of the faculty.
