Lawrence A. Presley, MS, MA, D-ABC
Director, Criminalistics
Mr. Presley is a Director with NMS Labs and is responsible for Crime Laboratory Services and DNA testing. Prior to joining NMS, he achieved three decades of law enforcement and forensic science accomplishments with the Federal Bureau of Investigations. Within the FBI, Mr. Presley held positions as Chief of the DNA Analysis Unit and Chief of the FBI Laboratory Division's Quality Assurance Unit among others. He earned a Masters of Criminal Justice Degree from the University of Detroit-Mercy and a Masters of Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh. He has held teaching positions with the University of Virginia, FBI Laboratory Division Training Unit, and the FBI Academy. Mr. Presley is a Diplomat of the American Board of Criminalistics and a certified Bomb Technician. He is member of many professional associations, including the American Academy of Forensic Science, the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors, American Society for Testing and Materials, College of American Pathologists Forensic Identity Committee and the DNA Advisory Board.
